Import
Contents
All settings that are needed for the import process occur in the "Import" mask. It contains 2 tabs:

1.Settings

There are several characteristic fields in the "Settings" tab. The settings relate to the following program items:

1.1.General settings

Name for folder
A folder name can be entered here as an option. This folder name is added to all subsequently listed objects. The folder names and the designation from the library are retained. The optional folder name is just prefixed.
Name extension
Is also referred to as key. An alphanumeric text that may consist of numbers, a-z, A-Z and "_" (underscore), can be entered optionally here. This text is attached to all of the above-mentioned objects. The folder names and the designation from the library are retained. The optional folder name is just attached.
Note
These settings are not visible if at least one of the above elements is available in the library.

1.2.Select design

A design is selected here. Open references (e.g. visualisation pages, symbols, etc.) are resolved with this design. If the design is changed, all design-specific references are automatically assigned as far as possible.
Note
This setting is only visible if menu/query/visualisation elements are available in the library.

1.3.Visualisation

Name for folder
The name of a folder has to be entered here. The visualisation pages containing the imported objects are added to this folder. The names of the visualisation pages remain unchanged.
Background image
A fitting background image for the page has to be selected here. If you import visualisation elements from more than one page, all new pages that are created automatically are given the background image specified here.
If you export a complete visualisation page (and not just individual elements), the background image of the exported page is also imported and used.
Note
These settings are only visible if visualisation elements are available in the library.

1.4.Menu

Menu entry
The menu point is selected here under which the imported menu structure is added. This assignment is optional. If no menu entry is defined, the structure is added at the top level.
Note
This setting is only visible if menu elements are available in the library.

1.5.Query

The menu point is selected under Query entry under which the imported query structure is added. This assignment is optional. If no query entry is defined, the structure is added at the top level.
Note
This setting is only visible if query elements are available in the library.

1.6.Logic

Name for folder
The name of a folder has to be entered here. The worksheets containing the imported objects are added to this folder. The names of the worksheets remain unchanged.
Note
This setting is only visible if logic elements are available in the library.

1.7.Overwrite existing visual elements

If you import optical elements (symbols, dynamic symbols, dynamic texts, dynamic boxes), you can enter here whether the imported elements should replace those in the project. If yes, activate this option.

2.References

This contains all of the objects used in the Global Library. The information contains the designation as well as the object type.
A suitable object has to be assigned to every reference. If a library is added again in the original project, the references, if still available, are assigned automatically. In order to import a library into a project, all the references in an object have to be assigned.

References of type IP address and IP port are also listed in this list. If IP addresses and IP ports are used several times in a function, they are only listed once in the list. However, a difference is made between the IP addresses and IP ports of different masks. This means that an IP address is listed many times in the references if the IP address is used, for example, under Receive IP telegrams and Send IP telegrams.

2.1.Automatically assign references not assigned

If you activate this option, references without an assigned object are automatically assigned dummy objects. More information can be found here.
