Symbols
Contents
The symbols for Menu, Query, and Visualisation are managed here. The symbols are used for the operating buttons and for display of states. They are defined individually for each design.

1.Menu: Symbol library

2.Export all symbols

A window appears in which all symbols are listed. For every symbol there is an option to include it in the export or exclude it. All symbols are marked for export by default.
With 2 buttons on the right edge of the window (buttons '+' and '-'), all the symbols can be included simultaneously in the export ('+') or excluded from it ('-').
After clicking 'OK', a standard Windows file dialogue appears. Using this, the export is carried out onto a file to be named by the user with the specified ending ".hsi". During this, all the symbols selected to be exported, including the folder structure, are exported.

2.1.Export current folder

This is just like Export all except that only the symbols in the currently marked folder, including all sub-folders, are suggested for export.

2.2.Import

A file of type ".hsi" can be imported here. The symbols contained in this file are imported into the currently marked folder. The directory structure as it is specified during export is created again underneath the marked folder.
Note
All the symbols to be imported are checked using a check total as to whether an identical symbol already exists in the current project. During this, the name of the symbol to be imported or the box that may already exist is not important!
If a symbol with identical code exists, it is not imported again!

2.3.Import directory

A standard Windows directory dialogue opens. A random directory can be selected here. After clicking "OK", this folder and all its subdirectories are searched for graphic files of type ".jpg", ".gif" and ".png". All of the files found are imported along with the folder structure into the currently marked folder. The file names are adopted as symbol names.

3.Data (in the case of the selected symbol)

Designation

Designation of the symbol in the HS/FS Expert.

3.1.Edit

A graphics program is started directly for editing. For this, you have to assign a graphics program under Tools\Applications in the menu bar of the main window.

3.2.Reset

This symbol is replaced by the original symbol from the design.

3.3.Right-click menu

After right clicking an item in the selection tree, a selection menu opens offering further options.

4.New

5.Create

This creates a symbol. A mask appears for this.

5.1.Insert from file

This can be used to directly insert an external graphic file. The dimensions of the file are adopted.
A mask appears for this.
