General project settings
Here you can make general settings (e.g. notes) for the project.

Project designation

Detailed designation of the project.

Device type

Note
Due to the different size of the device memory, Expert may issue warnings when changing the device type. The objects concerned (e.g. archives) must be adjusted accordingly!

USB ISDN adapter

Only available if the device type "HomeServer 4" or "FacilityServer 4" is selected!
Note
To be able to access the ISDN features, you need at least 1 (maximum of 2) USB-ISDN adapters.
The following setting options are available to you:

      (1) No adapter
(2) 1 Adapter for data connections
(3) 1 Adapter for audio+SMS
(4) 2 adapters

(1) No adapter
With this setting, the connected USB-ISDN adapters cannot be used!

(2) 1 adapter for data connections
In this configuration of the USB-ISDN adapter, the following ISDN features are available:
  • ISDN direct dial-in to the HS/FS
  • Remote dial-in to the internet
Note
In this configuration you cannot use the ISDN features listed under Point (3)!
(3) 1 adapter for audio+SMS
In this configuration of the USB-ISDN adapter, the following ISDN features are available:
  • Sending SMS
  • Phone alarm
  • DTMF operation (sample project is available)
  • Switching by phone
  • PIN query (2 adapters are required!)
Note
In this configuration you cannot use the ISDN features listed under Point (2)!
(4) 2 adapters
Of course you need the necessary hardware for this option, namely a 2nd USB-ISDN adapter. If you have 2 USB-ISDN adapters installed and select this option, one of the two adapters is automatically configured for data connections and the other for audio + SMS.
Note
In this configuration, you can use the ISDN features listed under both Points (2) and (3)!
Important
You cannot use both adapters for the same functionality!
A configuration with 2 USB-ISDN adapters always means that one of the two is configured for data connections and the other for audio and SMS!
As part of this it is not defined which of the two adapters is used for which function.

Password security

Important
This option is only available for projects that were created with a version of Expert prior to version 4.5!
For more recent projects, the new password rules always apply!
By activating the "password security" check box, the use of the old password rules in the project can be allowed. The setting also applies to QuadClient user passwords.
Note
If new users are created or user passwords changed, the new password rules will apply.
Note
If the "Password security" check box is activated, all passwords (including those defined in QuadConfig) that still don't follow the new password rules must be reassigned!

Remarks/notes

A multi-line text on the project can be entered here.

Address for remote access

If the HS/FS can be reached via the Internet, the Internet address can be managed here. The address is then automatically suggested in the transfer window under Remote access.
