Menu - Mask structure menu page

The mask is divided into the tree structure display areas of the operating menu and the definition of the selected menu individual element on the right.

2.(1) Menu tree

In the menu tree (left sub window), a program menu appears after right-clicking.

2.1.(2) Design selection

All the designs available in the project are displayed in these tabs.
Up to 5 designs can be assigned in the program item Project/Design. The tab names correspond to the respective design designations.

2.2.(3) Commands / User groups

These tabs are only available if they were previously already selected in the menu items Project/Interface or Project/User groups.
  • Commands: When calling up the page, the commands that are assigned here are executed, e.g., performing an entry in the message archive or switching on a consumer.
  • User groups: User groups are assigned here. Only users who belong to a user group can call the current page. If this page is the homepage of a user who is not part of one of the authorised groups, then all the subordinate pages remain hidden from this user. (Example for user groups)

2.3.(4) Transfer button

This button transmits the Designation to the "1st line" fields (line and header)

2.4.(5) Display in line

The display in the menu line is specified in this section.
A menu line consists of up to 2 lines text and a symbol.

1. Line: Text in the first menu line. This text cannot be dynamically changed.

2. Line: Text in the second menu line. This text can be dynamically changed.
Actuate the Stat/Dyn button to switch between static and dynamic text.

Symbol: This symbol appears in the HS/FS menu. It can choose a static or dynamic symbol.
Actuate the Stat/Dyn button to switch between static and dynamic symbol.

2.5.(6) Display in header line

The title entered here appears when the page is called up in the header. The behaviour of the lines and symbols is according to the display in lines (see above).

2.6.(7) Buttons Stat/Dyn

These buttons switch between static and dynamic text/symbol.

2.7.(8) =/!= Button Automatic transfer to other designs

= If several designs are used, the text from the 1st line is automatically transferred to all additional designs. The texts are all identical.
!=If this symbol appears, the texts in line 1 are different.
By actuating the button, the text is transferred from the selected design to all other designs.

2.8.(9) Symbol line

This symbol is displayed in the line. If this symbol is bigger than the intended space, you can use the magnifying glass to switch to the complete display.

2.9.(A) Symbol header

This symbol is displayed in the header line. If this symbol is bigger than the intended space, you can use the magnifying glass to switch to the complete display.

2.10.(B) Text control / Symbol control

Entries for control of the display of texts and symbols are carried out in this line.
Both fields are active when text or symbols should change dynamically.
Buttons (7) Dyn activate these fields.

The text in the second line can be controlled by the following objects:
  • Communication object: Here, the value of the communication object is use to control a dynamic text module.
  • Holiday calendar: The setting of the holiday calendar is displayed here.
    Note: Make [No selection] in the field 'Dyn. Text'.
  • Public holiday calendar: The setting of the public holiday calendar is displayed here.
    Note: Make [No selection] in the field 'Dyn. Text'.
  • Universal timer: The number of actions is displayed here.
    Note: Select a dyn. text with value display (numeric).
In order for texts and symbols to change depending on the state of the above-mentioned control objects, dynamic text modules and symbol modules can be created (Project/Designs - Edit design spec. data - Dyn. Symbols/Texts).
