Operation with the AGFEO system
Contents
This program item permits the setup of a bi-directional operating menu on AGFEO system telephones.
The Technical requirements and information on the installation instructions for the telephone system and telephones are located at the end of the text.

The 2-line display and the function buttons with the status LEDs are used with AGFEO system telephones. In the case of a value change the status LED can flash beside the function button.
Note
The function must be activated in the program item Project / Other / Agfeo system.
Note
For the first test, use the attached sample project in order to become familiar with the possibilities.

1.Functions

Functions are defined here that can then be used in the menu (e.g. rooms) area.
The data type of the EIB components and the text in the second line of the telephone display are specified. The display can be formatted in this item, or the contents managed.

Designation

Function designation in Expert

Function type

  • Boolean
It is possible to switch between zero and one.
  • Numeric
Numerical entries can be sent to the HS/FS via the telephone keypad (for example, for setpoint temperature or brightness value of a dimmer).
  • Text
This text is shown in the display. Another input is not possible.
  • List (commands)
A list of commands is defined with this. Every command is assigned a value. The values must be assigned continuously. You can scroll through the list in the display and select a command. On selection, the communication object (assigned in the menu area) is assigned the specified value.

1.1.Function types

For the function types described there are the following partially differing display and formatting options.

1.1.1.Boolean

Display text
This text is displayed on the bottom line of the telephone display.
Entry type
Specifies if an entry is possible on the telephone or if there should just be a display.

1.1.2.Numeric

Display text
This text is displayed on the bottom line of the telephone display.
The number of numeric spaces is defined by an underscore (example: "___ Proz.").
Number of digits
Cannot be entered.
The value is calculated from the number of underscores in the display text field.
Min. value
Limits the minimum entry.
Max. value
Limits the maximum entry.
Factor
The input value is multiplied by the factor.
The factor relates to the display from the perspective of the EIB.

Example 1: Display of the EIB temperature (21.5 degrees), the function type is numerical
Display text: Temp: __,_ the number of digits is 1
Min. value: -30
Max. value: 90
Factor: 10 (because only integers are possible),
Entry type: No entry

Example 2: A dimmer should be changed in 10% increments using the telephone buttons 0 to 9.
The function type is numerical,
The number of digits is 1
Min. value: 0
Max. value: 9
Factor: 0.1,
Entry type: Send after entry is complete
Entry type
Defines the behaviour during entry:
  • Send after confirmation
With this option, the changes on the telephone are only sent after confirmation with the OK button.
  • End after complete entry
With this option, the changes at the telephone are sent immediately on reaching the required number of entries, and the menu on the system telephone is closed immediately.
  • Send after complete entry
With this option, the changes at the telephone are sent immediately on reaching the required number of entries. In the case of a single-digit input mask, for example, every entry is sent immediately. Ideal for a dimmer, for example.
  • No entry
The values are only displayed. No change is possible. Practical, for example, for displaying outdoor temperature.

1.1.3.Text

No settings possible

1.1.4.List (commands)

Starting value
The numbers of value entries with the function type "List" begin with this value
Values
The list entries are created here. The first value corresponds to the starting value. All further values are to be created with increasing values without a gap.
Entry type
Specifies if an entry is possible on the telephone or if there should just be a display.

2.Menu

The menu structure for the telephone is created in this area.
One or more rooms can be created, which in turn can be assigned one or more functions.

2.1.Room

One or more functions can be created as list entries in a room.
A room can be created by right-clicking Menu with the "Create room" option.

Designation

Communication object
This communication object is assigned the value from the function.
Changes
Report value changes to the AGFEO TC system.
If this menu entry is programmed on the first button level (with a WAC button) on a system telephone (ST20, ST25, ST30), the status is displayed by the LED. The LED is on/off with the values 0/1 (Boolean). For all other values, the LED flashes until it requests the new value and has acknowledged it.
Commands
Note
This list is only available for list entries of function type "List (commands)".
Here, Expert commands can be assigned to the individual entries of the "Lists (commands)" function.
